A SOLO SEAGULL,
FLYING OVER EMPTY SEA,
DO YOU FEEL LONELY?

I was practicing Tai-Chi on the cliffs in Tower-Bay which have a fantastic view over the sea to Lambay island. It was a cold grey morning and I was struck by the sight of an empty grey sea (you usually see one or two small fishing boats or a cargo ship heading to Dublin port) over which was a solitary single seagull. Made me think ‘are you lonely - or are you able to process that emotion at all’.
