Last night was the “performing arts” oscar’s awards night where the best and brightest were given by their peers the much coverted golden ‘oscar’. I am happy for the winners (including a couple for Irish films and actors) and sad for the loosers. It does however makes me mentally flag that these kinds of awards by your peers are from a stoic perspective is a ‘positive indifference’ - they are nice and may provide you wealth and respect from others. It IS however a side effect of your actions and “whats inside” that is important.
